1. Who we are

Drive Finder Ireland is operated by Uniq Labs Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore. We act as the data controller for personal data collected through this site. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What we collect

  • Request data: your name, WhatsApp number, email address, county, transmission preference, and any notes you provide.
  • Payment data: card payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number or CVV. We see the amount, status, email, and a unique session ID returned by Stripe.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser, and device info via standard server logs and Vercel Analytics (anonymised, no cross-site tracking).

3. Lawful basis

We process your personal data on the following lawful bases under GDPR Article 6:
  • Contract (6(1)(b)): processing is necessary to perform the matching service you have requested.
  • Legitimate interest (6(1)(f)): basic server logs for security and anonymised analytics to improve the service.
  • Legal obligation (6(1)(c)): retention of records to comply with Irish consumer and tax law.

4. How we use your data

  • To match you with Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs).
  • To share your first name and phone number with matched instructors so they can contact you.
  • To communicate with you about your request via WhatsApp and email.
  • To confirm your card payment against your request via Stripe webhook.
  • To improve our service (anonymised analytics only).

5. Who we share it with

  • Matched instructors: your first name and phone number only, after we confirm a match.
  • Stripe (payment processor): payment amount, your email, and a unique session ID. Stripe is PCI-DSS certified and processes card data directly, we never handle it.
  • Our hosting and analytics providers: Vercel (site hosting and anonymised analytics) and Upstash (encrypted Redis storage for requests).
  • No one else. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data.

6. International transfers

As our parent company is based in Singapore and our hosting and analytics providers operate globally, your data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens we rely on the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision, to ensure your data receives equivalent protection.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your request data for 24 months for service delivery, dispute resolution, and to comply with Irish tax record-keeping rules. After that, we anonymise or delete it. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 8).

8. Security

We use industry-standard security including HTTPS, encrypted storage, access controls, and strong admin authentication.

9. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, reach out via the contact form on our website. We respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) at www.dataprotection.ie.

10. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in to the admin area. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymised, aggregate traffic data. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. See the cookie notice on first visit.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
